Yes, both of these are idealised actually. What usually happens in my case is I send out two pushes and one of htem gets obliterated by (and usually in the process obliterates or severely cripples) enemy counter push. This leads me on the defence as the AI seems to be able to field more forces than I am and I cent get a critical mass of units up due to attrition. The units I try to sneak pass are
